My Wallpapers
My Wallpapers shows ads and uses Google's Firebase to run and improve the app. It has no accounts and never asks for your name, email address or contacts.

Ads
The app is free and shows ads, served by Google AdMob, which may fill some of them through AppLovin and Meta Audience Network. To choose which ad to show and to count whether it was seen or tapped, these networks receive your device's advertising ID, your IP address, and basic information about your device and the app.
Where the law requires it, including the European Economic Area and the UK, the app asks for your consent before ads use your data, through Google's own consent form. You can change that choice at any time from Update Privacy preference in the side menu. Android also lets you reset or delete your advertising ID in the phone's settings.
Each network handles this data under its own privacy policy: Google's at policies.google.com/privacy, AppLovin's at applovin.com/privacy, and Meta's at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
How the app is used, and when it crashes
Firebase Analytics records how the app is used — which screens are opened, which wallpapers are viewed, downloaded and set, and which ads are shown — along with an identifier for this install of the app, your device model, Android version, and approximate country. It may also read the advertising ID. This is used to see which wallpapers people like and where the app needs work.
Firebase Crashlytics sends a report when the app crashes or hits an error: what the app was doing at the time, the device model and Android version, and an identifier for this install. Firebase App Check asks Google Play to confirm that requests for wallpapers come from the genuine app.
What is sent to the app's own backend
The wallpapers themselves, and the list of them, come from the app's Firebase backend. When you download or set a wallpaper, a counter on that wallpaper goes up by one, which is how the trending lists are worked out. Nothing about who you are is attached to it.
If you fill in the feedback form, your rating, the options you tick and anything you type are saved to the backend with the date and time. Nothing else is sent with them, so please do not type anything you would not want read. If sending fails, the rating and text are recorded with the error in the app's analytics so the failure can be fixed.
What stays on your device
Wallpapers you download, and photos you add from your gallery, stay on your phone. The app never uploads your photos; it only counts how many you added. It also keeps your theme, your image-quality setting, which tips you have already seen, when it last checked for an update, a copy of the category list, and the wallpaper of the day. Google's consent form keeps your ad choice on the device as well.
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. Clearing the app's cache removes downloaded wallpapers and anything in your collection that pointed at them.
Permissions
Internet access and network state, to load wallpapers and ads and to send the analytics and crash reports above. Storage and media location, to save wallpapers and open the photos you choose; the app does not read or send the location recorded in your photos. Set wallpaper, to change your Home and Lock screens. Wake lock, foreground service and notifications, so Set Random Wallpaper can change the wallpaper in the background.
The advertising ID and Android's ad services permissions come with the ad software and are what let the ads above work; so does vibration, which AppLovin's adds. The rest — licence check, install referrer and access to Google services — are added by Google Play and Firebase libraries for their own purposes.
Children
My Wallpapers is not meant for children under 13, and its ads are not set up for a child audience. If you think a child has sent something through the feedback form, get in touch and it will be removed.
Google Play
Google Play collects its own data about installs, independently of this app. That is covered by Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy, not by this one.
